Job Role: Digital Product Manager

Right from the first sight of our product, through purchasing a cruise holiday then on to the post cruise experience, our guests will have many touch points with the technology that runs our business. We need someone to help sculpt that technology. To fix the right problems with great solutions.

The details

The primary part of this role is to manage the development of our booking engine and it’s related parts. This means bringing in new features and improving automation or dealing with integrations in to other software packages such as our finance system or our shipside technology.

Objectives

  • Drive product strategies and long term vision to build a best in class booking engine
  • Conduct user research and usability studies, collaborating with stakeholders, designers and developers to cover the end-to-end process
  • Ability to craft a product vision (short to long term) and convert that into a concrete strategy
  • Participate in market research, validation, and business analysis to identify new opportunities for new and existing features and functionalities
  • Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to build product roadmaps
  • Develop and implement data pipelines that extract, transform, and load data into BI systems
  • Work on managing, storing, processing and analyzing large data sets to identify business opportunities/efficiencies
  • Evaluate, analyze, and understand the voice of the customer through a variety of data sources

Responsibilities

  • Create understandable and implementable user stories
  • Define task outputs – expected outcomes (thank you pages, report output, CSV downloads etc)
  • Uncover edge cases by having deep dives in to new features and changes
  • Roadmap updates and backlog management
  • Deal with suppliers for technology
  • Liaise with partners integrating with our technology – Travel agents using our API or other technology we integrate with, such as the finance system (Sage Intacct)
  • Manage development budgets
  • Negotiate roadmap priorities
  • Ensure stakeholders are aware of project statuses and upcoming changes

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in digital product management or similar
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills
  • Usability and customer-focused design experience a plus
  • Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems

Preferred experience

  • Experienced with data and reporting - Excel, SQL, Power BI
  • Business minded – view on revenue/costs parts of the business
  • Holiday industry experience
  • UAT experience
