Ambassador Cruise Line launches second ship and season with amazing new launch offers!

Ambassador Cruise Line has today announced the launch of its 2023/24 sailing programme which will see the cruise line’s first ship Ambience return for her second season with new itineraries as well as Ambassador’s latest edition to the fleet, Ambition take to the seas. Ambition will set sail on her inaugural season on 4 March 2023 with capacity for 1,200 guests. Together the two ships will be sailing to six continents and 58 countries, calling at 165 ports and cruising over 176,195 nautical miles.

For 2023/24, Ambience will be sailing a brand new 120-night ‘Grand Round the World Cruise’, the cruise line’s longest itinerary to date, whilst Ambition will depart from both Ambassador’s home port of London Tilbury and six new regional UK ports: Newcastle, Dundee, Liverpool, Belfast, Bristol and Falmouth.

Ambassador, the first British cruise line to launch in over a decade, will continue to offer premium-value, authentic cruising experiences for the British market. Specialising in no-fly itineraries that are adult-focussed and primarily aimed at the 50-plus market.

AMBIENCE

Ambience has an average guest capacity of 1,400 and with thoughtful configuration offers a feeling of spaciousness whilst retaining a sense of intimacy. Ambience is in the top 10%-15% of environmentally sustainable ships allowing her access to some of Europe’s most untouched corners including the breath-taking Norwegian World Heritage fjords. Ambassador have reduced nitrogen oxide emissions by approximately 95% and reduced their sulphur oxide emissions by 80%. They have installed a new advanced wastewater treatment system, a new ballast water treatment system and new biodigesters, all of which ensure that they protect the seas they sail in and the ocean wildlife around us.

Visiting six continents, 24 countries, 34 ports of call and the Panama Canal, this world cruise spans 34,759 beautiful nautical miles. Sailing via the Azores and Caribbean, Ambience will transit the Panama Canal, calling at beautiful islands of the South Seas and onto New Zealand and Australia, before exploring Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Tropical Indian Ocean islands are mere steppingstones to the excitement of Kenya. Guests can be confident of booking with Ambassador Cruise Line since, in addition to having insurance cover in place (as required by The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018), Ambassador also operates a fully independently managed Trust Account where guests’ funds are deposited and only released when the cruise departs. In the event a cruise is cancelled, all guests will be offered a full refund. 

Ambience is the first ship to enter the Ambassador fleet, carrying up to 1,400 guests with 789 cabins, 11 guest decks, 70,285grt and a length of 245m.  She has a crew of 608 from 27 nationalities and has been upgraded to operate at IMO Tier III from her inaugural voyage, placing her amongst the top 10%-15% of cruise ships to achieve this level of environmental operation.  She will operate a programme of departures to multiple destinations including the Grand Round the World Cruise, Nordics, Greenland, Iceland, Canada, and the Mediterranean from her home port of London Tilbury. 

Ambassador’s second ship, Ambition, will enter service in March 2023, carrying 1,200 guests in 714 cabins, 10 guest decks. She will operate itineraries from London Tilbury but will also offer cruises from six UK regional departure ports including Newcastle, Dundee, Liverpool, Belfast, Bristol and Falmouth.
