Ambassador hosts Essex students onboard for International Women’s Day
Last week on 9 March, Ambassador Cruise Line hosted a celebration of International Women’s Day, following the return of its 21-day Cape Verde, Canaries & Morocco Winter Escape sailing into London Tilbury. In association with Essex Cricket’s Women’s Team, the Purfleet-based premium value cruise line welcomed female students from two local Essex schools - Gray’s Convent and William Edwards - on board its ship, Ambience, for a very special event designed to inspire them in their future careers.
Focussing on travel and sport, students heard from Ambassador’s female leaders, the Essex Women’s team and professionals from the Sunrisers, the all-female domestic professional team covering the East of England, before presenting back to the speakers as part of an Apprentice-style challenge.
The event also saw students take a tour of the ship, enjoy lunch in Ambience’s Buckingham restaurant and receive tickets to an England Women’s cricket game at Essex’s Cloud County Ground.
