Proud Partners of Help for Heroes
All Hands on Deck for Our Veterans
Since 2024, Ambassador Cruise Line has been an official partner of Help for Heroes, a charity that believes every member of the Armed Forces community deserves the chance to live well after service.
Not only is this cause close to the hearts of so many of our guests, crew and shoreside team, but our values fit naturally together. At Ambassador, we believe in making connections through exploration and promoting physical and mental wellbeing, and that's exactly what this partnership is about: improving the health, wellbeing and quality of life of veterans and the people around them.
Partnership Milestones
2024: Official partner of Help for Heroes
2024: Veterans welcomed on board for our D-Day 80th Anniversary sailings
2025: The Help for Heroes Supper Club launches on board
Opening Up the World Again
For veterans who were medically discharged with life-changing injuries, a holiday that most people take for granted can become hard to reach. If the promise of travel and adventure was part of what drew them to the Armed Forces in the first place, losing those opportunities adds to the long list of things they must adjust to after leaving service.
Our partnership with Help for Heroes focuses on opening up travel opportunities for veterans and those around them. Cruising brings the world to you, with everything you need on board and new places arriving on your doorstep, and we’re helping more veterans and their families to experience that together.

Dinner that Makes a Difference
The Help for Heroes Supper Club is a specially themed dinner on board, served on all our sailings of seven-plus nights departing from UK ports. The menu features three selected bottled wines (one red, one white and one rosé), with £5 from each bottle donated directly to Help for Heroes. Additional donations are encouraged via QR code, and guests can also donate at reception throughout every sailing.
Remembering Together
In 2024, we were honoured to welcome veterans on board for our dedicated D-Day 80th Anniversary sailings. Sharing their stories and experiences first-hand with guests made for moments that will stay with everyone who was there.
Putting Our Best Foot Forward
Members of the Ambassador team joined our friends at Synonymous Sport in lacing up their walking boots for Help for Heroes, taking on two separate fundraising walks across the moorland of Dartmoor and past some of London's best-known landmarks.

Heroes on the Pitch
Bringing two of our partnerships together, we handed our Essex Cricket shirt sponsorship to Help for Heroes for a One Day Cup match at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground. The players took to the pitch sporting the Help for Heroes logo on their kit, and the charity joined us at the ground to raise awareness of its work.
Going Once, Going Twice
In both 2025 and 2026, we have donated a cruise to the auction at the Lord's Long Room Lunch, hosted by Synonymous Sport. The event in 2025 raised more than £10,000 for Help for Heroes.
Spreading the Word
Together with Help for Heroes, we've filmed a series of videos to raise awareness of the charity and the veterans it supports. We also work side by side on joint campaigns and competitions to reach even more people.
A Thank You to Those Who Serve
Veterans, Help for Heroes staff and the charity's supporters can enjoy an exclusive discount when they cruise with Ambassador.
We're proud to stand alongside Help for Heroes and the veterans it supports, both on board and ashore.
Since 2024, we have fundraised over £35,700 and directly donated over £225,000 to Help for Heroes.
