Easy Booking

I booked on line for a late offer , and it was pretty easy. The only criticism is that it did not highlight that I should register my details and for excursions. As I have been on a few cruises I knew I had to do this, but somebody new could easily miss it, until the company then informs them.

Easy and user friendly booking process

Booking directly with Ambassador was very easy. The booking process was very user friendly and the email confirmation arrived right away. The confirmation invoice was clear and easy to read. I wanted to make a change after booking, and contacted customer service. The wait was minimal and the representatives friendly and knowledgeable. All in all, this may be the easiest booking process I've experienced.

It was good, very good but I have to be honest, it was not Marco Polo. The sheer numbers, particularly at the anchorage stops, made things anarchic at times. The deck crew really must improve their small boat handling skills and have somebody visibly and effectively in charge.. Following the comments I made after the Maiden Voyage, I was delighted to see the improvements in Borough Market, eg a second Toaster and splitting off the pastries reduced queues significantly. Thank God you removed the sun loungers from the walking/jogging circuit on deck 14, though the solid, sharp cornered, steel edged coffee tables strategically placed at shin height on the inside corners of the rear deck will surely cause an injury at some stage. On the catering side, you really must hang onto the long service stalwarts like Lovely Jubbly, Francesco , Candido and others, all great people handlers and an example to others, they make such a difference to the cruise. On the entertainment side, you have some really good quality musicians and dancers and having a repertory company in the team is a great move.

Stress free booking

Success but it wasn't easy.

Although the process was, hopefully, eventually successful, it needed a lot of work by me an my partner to find a suitable cabin. I was not asked how we wanted the bed to be arranged. It ne3eded an email to sort that. The process created a great deal of paper.

The staff were absolutely wonderful, so friendly and willing to help in any way. The food was delicious, so much choice, In the restaurant and the buffet area. The cleanliness on board was second to none. And the entertainment was first class. We saw every show, congratulations to the singers and dancers who continued to surprise us daily with their shows. The other singers who performed around the ship were fabulous.

Loved the cruise, the entertainment was first class, the food very good, plenty of choice. We had a balcony cabin which was OK. Balcony a little small and still being worked on. The room was adequate for us and a decent size. Limited TV channels, but not important to us. Staff very friendly, nice coffee shops but could go with some gluten free cake options. Would definitely use Ambassador again.

A perfect cruise to visit amazing places. A great choice of excursions at every port which we took advantage of. The crew were attentive, friendly and welcoming at all times. The entertainment everywhere was excellent and there was something to suit all tastes - the shows in the Palladium are of West End/Broadway standard! The Health Spa is a lovely treat and the fitness suite good too. The food was delicious at every meal and of course we enjoyed afternoon teas and treats too. The Observatory is a great social place in the evenings and with fantastic ocean views too. A thought on disembarkation and luggage collection. Maybe it's just Tilbury but in future could the luggage be placed in clearly marked pens with someone at each pen checking passengers are claiming the correct cases? I realise this is extra manpower but it would save the inconvenience of someone mistakenly taking the wrong case. This happened to us (my sister) when a passenger disembarked before us saw a similar case to theirs and just took it not realising their cases were in a different area. The coach transfer labels were just falling to bits and maybe didn't help. In the end there were quite a few passengers looking at the cases left behind that were clearly not theirs. The port staff and Ambassador crew were extremely helpful hiwever and they tracked down her case (in Clacton on Sea) and delivered 2 weeks later to Fife, Scotland! We will sail again with you for sure!

The cruise overall was a good choice, Iceland has a landscape like no other country and to see volcanoes and ice glaciers is a must. The Ambiance is a great ship and the whole experience was great, the food quality and choice throughout the many venues on board are excellent, the entertainment on board caters for all tastes so you are never at a loss for something to do. We found all the crew friendly and willing to cater for all our needs throughout the cruise. I only have one criticism, the Air conditioning in the cabin. No matter how we set the temperature control, it was always to hot,

We were a very last minute booking because of the fear of Covid. In spite of that all our requests were met. The Covid testing and protection before boarding and on board made me feel secure. The ship was lovely and our cabin comfortable and roomy. Moreover, it was near catering facilities as I had requested because of some mobility problems. The sit down evening meals were delicious and interesting. The staff were wonderful. They were helpful, friendly and always ensured I was helped to my seat in catering situations. The lectures were really interesting and the evening theatrical performances were exciting and novel. Additional entertainment was interesting and varied. We enjoyed all the stops and had enough time to look round them properly. There was a good choice of organised trips. Prices were fair and billing prompt and accurate. ] As far as we were concerned there were no problems at all in spite of Ambassador being in its maiden season.

My ultimate reason for going was a tour of Iceland, (waterfalls & geyser's,) your cruise offered an easy way to do it, including the comfort of 'travelling hotel'. The ship went way over my expectations, the food was first class delicious, the options of things to do took away any chance of 'boredom', (I'd actually brought a couple of books thinking I'd read them in my 'spare time', there was no spare time. Then to top it all there was the cabaret shows - something i wasn't expecting, but was first class. Many thanks for an enjoyable fortnight. Easy and clean simple way to book your cruise

The side is very clean and clear what to do and extremely easy to navigate. Everything is explain and especially pricing (no hidden surprises!) our first trip booked with Ambassador cruises - looking forward to our holidays end of the month. Prompt response to phone call, no listening to 'music' for 20 minutes

They acted on my request to change the Victoria Coach transfer to parking at the port. We had to do this because of the train strike planned for our departure date and we wouldn't have got to Victoria Coach Station.
