The Overtures have spent the past twenty-five years building their reputation as the finest sixties tribute band in the country. You’ll hear every aspect of 60s music from the early beat-pop of The Beatles and The Kinks, the ‘surf' sound of The Beach Boys, the rhythm and blues of The Stones, the folk-rock of the Byrds and Mamas and Papas through to the power of The Who. There is something to please whether you’re a “Hippy”, “Mod” or “Rocker”! Having performed at Sir Elton John and David Furnish's Civil Partnership in 2005, The Overtures were then requested to support Elton at London's O2 as well as at numerous private parties at his Windsor home. “They're the best band of their kind in the world!” Sir Elton was later quoted in GQ magazine. Born in 1973 Kate was the first female and youngest ever editor of pop magazine Smash Hits at age 22, producing her first issue in February 1996 covering the breakup of boy-band Take That You can also join Kate for ‘The Smash Hits Years’ every Sunday afternoon – spend a couple of hours in two different musical years – with the Greatest Hits and memories to bring it all flooding back.

Dave Cocks is a maritime historian born and raised on the North Yorkshire coast. His family’s maritime links go back two centuries. His great-great-great-grandfather was the first of a family line of ships captains, sailing out of Hull. As a child he was fascinated by his uncle’s tales of exploration of the Antarctic on board Royal Research Ships, named after famous polar explorers, like Shackleton and John Biscoe, and iconic vessels such as Discovery. In later years Dave followed his father’s footsteps into the RNLI, where he’s now volunteered for nearly 50 years.

Jean has been involved in making things all her life. She learnt to sew and knit at school and always wanted to become a Blue Peter presenter because of all the paper, card and sticky backed plastic she could have been involved with! Little did she know way back then she would be showing people how to craft? Jean has been a craft product demonstrator, a craft tutor running classes and now as a craft tutor on cruise ships. She was a runner up in a Card Maker of the Year 2006 competition and was then asked to write articles for Complete Card Making magazine. Rubber Stamping, Scrapbooking, Monoprinting and Altered Art are her favourite crafts. She relishes the challenge of taking a white piece of card and using one of the many current colouring techniques creating unique background and then incorporating it on a card or scrapbooking project. She has recently taken to Gelli Plate monoprinting and can get lost for hours with acrylics, and brayer and Gelli Plate. She loves the total randomness of the prints you get as well as the distinctive look of the finished projects.

Martin Kemp is a treasured household name with an impressive number of strings to his bow. Martin’s career set off in 1979, when he formed the new romantic band Spandau Ballet playing bass guitar. The group went on to tour the world and had several Top 20 hits in the 80’s. The single ‘True’ made the American Top 10. Alongside his music career, Martin has had a successful acting career, starring alongside his brother Gary in the film ‘The Krays’, which was a huge success, playing the infamous Steve Owen in BBC’s BAFTA Award winning drama series Eastenders, and starring as Billy Flynn in the West End run of Chicago in 2018. Martin currently hosts his own show, on Greatest Hits Radio and for the past 3 years, has toured around the country with his ‘Back to the 80’s’ DJ sets. Martin is a television regular, and has appeared on numerous shows, notably acting as a Judge on BBC’s entertainment show ‘Let it Shine’, and as a contestant on Channel 4’s ‘Bear Grylls: The Island’. Martin and his son Roman are part of the regular cast for ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ on Channel 4 and hosted their morning show ‘Weekend Best’ on ITV. Together, they now co-host the podcast ‘FFS! My Dad is Martin Kemp!’ Martin was one of the standout contestants in 2025’s 'I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ Series. An established author, Martin’s has published several books, both fiction and non-fiction, including ‘True – An Autobiography of Martin Kemp’, ‘A True Love Story’, ‘Ticket to the World: My 80s Story’ and his fiction series, which includes The Game’ and its sequel, ‘The Fall’. Martin currently has his own clothing collection with TU x Sainsbury’s and has worked with an impressive number of notable brands including L’Oreal, Oreo, Jack Daniels, M&S and Vision Express. He is the current UK Ambassador for Nuance Audio

It is unusual to be able to reach a REAL person without much fuss and bother and having to battle with a ROBOT.
