They are gin lounges with their own exclusive collections, whisky bars with single malts from Scotland and Wales, a proper British pub pouring real ale, and a coffee house serving Teapigs loose leaf and L'OR espresso. A drinks package is simply the easiest way to enjoy it all.

Our Drinks Packages Explained
Three packages, each built around a different way of enjoying your holiday. Compare what is included and choose the one that suits you before you sail.
PREMIUM DRINKS PACKAGE
Best for: guests who want the widest choice and the premium brands.
The Premium Drinks Package opens up the whole bar. Silent Pool and Sipsmith gin in the Botanical Lounge, Glen Grant 10 Year Old or a Penderyn single malt at Raffles, a Kraken and cola on deck, or an Espresso Martini before dinner. Speciality coffees come as standard too, from a classic Irish Coffee with Whiskey or an aromatic Jamaican Coffee with Tia Maria, to our own Ambassador Coffee made with Baileys and cream.
Included: premium spirits and wines, selected beers and ciders, eligible cocktails, speciality coffees and Teapigs teas, soft drinks, juices, mocktails and water by the glass. Gratuities and service charges are included in the package price. Bottled water and cabin water are separate.
CLASSIC DRINKS PACKAGE
Best for: guests who enjoy everyday wines, beers, spirits and cocktails.
The Classic Drinks Package covers the favourites. A pint of John Smith's in the Purple Turtle, our House Wine by the glass, a Mojito in the afternoon or, of course, a Piña Colada - the one our guests order more than anything else. Fancy something outside the package, such as a premium gin or an Irish Coffee? Classic holders get 50% off premium drinks from the bar, so nothing is off limits.
Included: house wines, house-brand spirits, selected beers and ciders, eligible house-brand cocktails, soft drinks, juices, mocktails and water by the glass. Gratuities and service charges are included in the package price. Premium brands and speciality coffees are not included, though they are available at 50% off.
NON-ALCOHOLIC DRINKS PACKAGE
Best for: guests who prefer alcohol-free refreshments.
Alcohol-free without missing out. Whether it's a refreshing fruit juice in the morning, a crisp glass of fizzy after a long day ashore or an indulgent mocktail enjoyed on the deck as the evening draws in, savour every moment on board with the perfect beverage. Our mocktail list runs from a Cranberry Mule to a Berry Fizz and a Virgin Piña Colada, and the bar also pours Tanqueray 0.0%, Heineken 0% and alcohol-free rum so you can have the full bar experience without the alcohol.
Included: soft drinks, selected juices, mocktails and water by the glass. Gratuities and service charges are included in the package price. Bottled water and cabin water are separate.
SEPARATE WATER PACKAGE
Water by the glass is included with every drinks package. Bottled water and cabin water are a separate charge, or opt for one of our simple refill options for a more sustainable choice.
- Cruise Refill, bring your own bottle: £10.45. Includes free refills for up to 14 nights. Ask the bar team about options on longer sailings.
- Refill with an Ambassador bottle: £18.85. A 500ml aluminium bottle from selected bars, including free refills for up to 14 nights. Ask the bar team about options on longer sailings.
- Cabin water - still or sparkling: not included in any package. Bottles are charged at £2.00 each.

- On board. Subject to the purchase deadline, availability and onboard pricing.
Adding the Water Package. Purchased separately from your main drinks package. Bring your own suitable refillable bottle for £10.45, or buy a 500ml Ambassador aluminium bottle from any food and dining outlet for £18.85. Both include unlimited refills for up to 14 nights, and the bar team can talk you through the options on longer sailings.

Picking the right drinks package for your cruise should be simple, so we have renamed our three packages to better reflect what each one offers. No more guessing what is included before you sail.

Where to Drink on Board
Each of our bars has its own character, its own story and, in several cases, its own exclusive collection you will not find elsewhere on the ship.
The Botanical Lounge - Ambience
Each distiller's signature is as individual as a fingerprint. The Botanical Lounge is built around that idea, with an exclusive gin collection including Silent Pool from the Surrey Hills, Edinburgh Classic, Sipsmith London Dry and Drumshanbo Gunpowder, slow-distilled in a converted Victorian hospital in the west of Ireland.
Raffles - Ambience
Behind an Art Deco facade sits a whisky collection chosen with real care: Glen Grant 10 Year Old from Speyside, Johnnie Walker Black Label, Bushmills 10 Year Old Sherry Cask from a distillery licensed since 1608, Jura White Oak Cask from an island with more red deer than people, and two expressions from Penderyn in Wales that tell entirely different stories from the same distillery.
The Purple Turtle - Ambience
A proper British pub at sea, and a serious one. Real ales include John Smith’s, brewed in Tadcaster since 1852, Marston’s Pedigree from Burton-upon-Trent, still fermented using the traditional Burton Union system, Newcastle Brown Ale, Hobgoblin Ruby from the ancient Wychwood Forest and Black Sheep from Masham.
The Cavern - Ambition
Named for the Liverpool cellar that opened on 16 January 1957 and where The Beatles played 292 times. That same sense of energy, creativity and connection lives on here, with an exclusive gin collection and a nod to the city that started it all.
The Coffee House - Ambience
Teapigs premium loose leaf and L’OR coffee, served properly. The tea selection runs to nine, from a calming whole-flower Chamomile to a Great Taste Award-winning Earl Grey Strong, a single-origin Mao Feng green tea from Anhui Province and a Chai blended with cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and vanilla. Coffee is L’OR Espresso Riche as Americano, Espresso, Cappuccino or Latte, with vanilla and caramel.
Clifton
Clifton takes its name from Bristol’s hilltop quarter and Brunel’s suspension bridge, completed in 1864 and still one of the finest examples of Victorian engineering anywhere.
Pendennis
Pendennis is named for the Cornish fortress Henry VIII built above the Fal Estuary between 1540 and 1542, with premium gin at its heart.
Angel
Angel draws on the Angel of the North, 20 metres tall with a 54 metre wingspan, and brings the same warmth and welcome on board, with whisky as its speciality.

If you are not sure where to start, these are the ones our guests come back for.
- Piña Colada. Rum, coconut cream and pineapple juice, with a choice of strawberry, banana, kiwi or mango. Our most-ordered cocktail by a comfortable margin, and there is a Virgin Piña Colada for anyone going alcohol-free.
- Espresso Martini. Vodka, Kahlúa and a proper shot of espresso.
- Ambassador Coffee. Baileys Irish Cream, coffee and cream, one of six speciality coffees on the list alongside Irish, French, Jamaican, Monte Christo and Explorer's.
- Aperol Spritz. House sparkling wine, Aperol and soda, best taken on deck as the sun drops.
- The Ambassador Cocktail. Our signature serve: vodka, cranberry juice, triple sec, lime and lavender syrup.
Wines Chosen by a Master of Wine
Our onboard wines are selected by Keith Isaac MW of Castelnau Wine Agencies, who passed the Master of Wine examinations in 1989 and has been supplying the premium cruise sector ever since.
The list travels properly. Chianti Classico from Viticcio in Tuscany, Châteauneuf du Pape from the Cellier siblings in the Rhône, Rioja from Bodegas Santalba, Malbec from Argentina's Famatina Valley and a Douro red from the Port region made with the same native grapes. House and Premium wines are available by the 125ml glass, the 250ml glass or the bottle, with Veuve Clicquot and Castelnau Champagne for occasions that call for it.

Do Ambassador drinks packages include coffee and tea?
Tea and coffee provided in your cabin or served at Borough Market are available as part of the full board dining included in every fare. L’OR Espresso drinks, speciality coffees and a range of Teapigs teas can be purchased from our onboard bars and coffee house - these are included as part of the Premium Drinks Package, or available at 50% off with the Classic Drinks Package.
How do I know what my package covers at the bar?
Every menu on board is marked with a key showing which drinks are included in each package and which carry a 50% discount. The same key appears across the fleet for easy recognition.
Are alcohol-free spirits and beers available?
Yes. The bar pours Tanqueray 0.0%, Heineken 0% and a 0.0% alcohol-free rum, alongside a full mocktail list including the popular Virgin Piña Colada.
What is the best-value way to secure a drinks package?
Choosing Ambassador Fare during your initial cruise booking. It includes the Premium Drinks Package alongside additional fare benefits, subject to the relevant sailing terms.

Terms and Conditions

- The Ambassador Drinks Packages are only available to purchase for the entire duration of the cruise and if all occupants of the cabin purchase the same package.
- Drinks are for the consumption of the package purchaser/s only.
- Specific drinks brands, products and stock levels cannot be guaranteed and may vary by ship and throughout the duration of your cruise. We reserve the right to substitute products where necessary with an alternative of similar type and value.
- All Ambassador Drinks Packages exclude drinks/snacks from the cabin/suite mini bar and bottles of water (large and small). Tea and coffee ordered at the bars are also excluded from the Ambassador Drinks Packages, with the exception of the Ambassador Premium Drinks Package. Additionally, the package cannot offset the cost of, or be a substitution for, special or private events such as cocktail parties, blessings or similar.
- Premium teas and speciality coffees are included in the Ambassador Premium Drinks Package only.
- For the avoidance of doubt, for cruises of 2, 3 & 4 nights, prices are per person per cruise. For cruises of 5 nights or more, prices are based on per person per night. Ambassador Non-Alcoholic and Classic Drinks Packages are only available to guests aged 18 years and over.
- Ambassador Drinks Packages may be booked up to 7 days before the sailing date. If within 7 days of sailing, packages can only be purchased onboard, and the ‘Onboard Price’ will be applicable.
- Full payment is required 90 days before the sailing date, or at the time of booking if less than 90 days.
- Once within 14 days of departure, the cancellation of any ancillary items including Ambassador Drinks Packages, will be charged at 100% loss of monies and no refund will be applicable.
- Only one drink per person at any time may be ordered (minimum 15-minute wait between orders).
- All our drinks packages are non-transferable. Ordering drinks for other guests who are not on a drinks package, will result in the withdrawal of the benefit for the holder of the package i.e. with immediate effect the drinks package will be cancelled, and the guest will be required to purchase drinks from our standard menu. No refund for any withdrawn packages will be given.
- All drinks within the Ambassador Drinks Packages are served by the glass only.
- Please note that gratuities & service charges cannot be removed or adjusted if purchased within the package.
- Please note that the Ambassador Drinks Packages are only available for beverages served on board and does not extend to pre or post-cruise arrangements, hotels, flights or any establishment ashore. The cost of the Ambassador Drinks Packages are calculated on the cruise duration and not the entire holiday duration.
- Onboard purchase of the Ambassador Drinks Packages must be made within 24 hours of boarding the ship. For the avoidance of doubt, a cut-off date and time will be stipulated in the daily programme.
- The quantity of drinks that the ship can carry onboard is limited by the size of the vessel and certain drinks included within the Ambassador drinks packages may be unavailable from time to time, in which case no refund is allowed.
- No discounts are offered on bottles of wine, champagne or spirits.
- For the avoidance of doubt, available drinks included within each package are highlighted on the bar menus.
- Packages do not apply to the purchase of bottles of spirits, bottles of wine or any items offered in shops onboard.
- Ambassador Cruise Line reserves the right to introduce exclusions or limitations without prior notice.
- Any bottles and cans will be served opened.
- The ship's management reserves the right to refuse the service of alcohol at any time in accordance with our policy for the Responsible Service of Alcohol.
- The drinks package applies to the full advertised cruise duration, other than the day of disembarkation where drinks will be charged at the standard bar menu rate. For the avoidance of doubt if the cruise is advertised as a 7-night cruise, then 7 shall be applied as the multiplier to the price of the package.
- Standard spirit measures are 25ml
- In line with our responsible service of alcohol policy, bar staff may refuse service if a guest appears to be heavily intoxicated.
- Re:Water bottles in cabins aren’t included in any package and bottles are chargeable at the applicable rate of £2.00 each.
- Guests can purchase an unlimited refillable Aluminum water bottle from any food and dining outlet for £18.85.
- A water package can be purchased for £10.45 if you bring your own refillable water bottle.
- Water bottle refills are not included in the Non-Alcoholic, Classic and Premium Drinks Packages, but guests can have water by the glass which is included in all packages.
