Cruising through the Mediterranean is the ultimate way to soak in that glorious climate and reflect on the magic that swells through those historic cities and pristine beaches. From the enchanting city of Rome, with its ancient ruins and breathtaking Colosseum below, to the aqua-blue waters and stretches of golden sands of Mallorca, there is something for everybody. Sip wine in Corsica and lose yourself in the tiled hilly streets of Lisbon – our itinerary is a treasure trove of Mediterranean treats.

CRUISE HIGHLIGHTS

Civitavecchia - for Rome, Italy

Leixoes - for Oporto, Portugal

When taking an optional tour of Porto, it’s a must to sample the magnificent port wine that has made the city world famous. But there’s plenty more to savour, from the stunning Francisco Church to the magnificent 19th-century Palácio de Bolsa.

Alongside a magnificent climate, Lisbon combines a wealth of history with a vibrant contemporary culture. The futuristic Parque das Nações, with its cable car, is a must-see and some of Portugal’s best beaches are just a bus ride away.

ORCA

ORCA is one of the UK’s leading whale and dolphin conservation charities, dedicated to the protection of whales, dolphins and porpoises around the world. Ocean Conservationists will be showcasing the incredible diversity of wildlife that can be spotted from the deck, helping everyone learn more about the marine environment around them whilst collecting vital data about whales, dolphins and porpoises to contribute to their protection. Whilst on board, the team will be delivering activities to help guests learn more about these amazing animals as well as the threats they face, including the Ambassador & ORCA pledge and the first ever cruise "Anti-whaling" campaign.

What to expect on this sailing... The Mediterranean is an important area for monitoring due to the threat of ship strike.  Ship strike is one of the most under-reported threats to large whales such as fin whales - the only large baleen whales found in these waters. The voyage also allows us to monitor the Pelagos Sanctuary - the only international sea area dedicated to protecting marine mammals and their habitats in the Mediterranean. The sanctuary is home to eight species of whale, dolphin and porpoise and helps protect them and their ecosystem from urbanisation, fishing, shipping and other activities.
