2028 Caribbean Fly Cruises

Early in the year or right at the end of it, the choice is yours. Browse every 2028 Renaissance sailing below, with dates, fares and what’s included in the experience. 

• January: the fresh start. Two sailings, departing 9 and 23 January, for anyone who’d rather not spend the longest month of the year looking at a grey sky. 

• February: the mid-winter lift. Spend Valentine’s Day in Antigua on the 6 February sailing, or take 2028’s bonus leap day at sea on the 20 February sailing.  

• March: the encore. Our 5 March sailing is the only 2028 itinerary with an overnight stay in Curaçao. Experience Willemstad lit up after dark. 

• November: the early bird. The 29 October sailing opens the new season, getting you away in early November well before the Christmas crowds begin to form. 

• Early December: the breather. On 3 December, trade the frantic shopping trips for relaxed days in Aruba, Tortola and St Maarten. 

• Christmas: 17 December. Christmas Eve in Bonaire, Christmas Day at sea and Boxing Day in St Kitts, and nobody’s asking you to peel a single sprout. 

• New Year: 31 December. Fly out on New Year’s Eve, celebrate on board as you sail from Barbados that evening and wake up to 2029 somewhere warm. 

The Caribbean is warm year-round, with temperatures usually in the high twenties. January to March is the heart of the drier season, and the dry weather typically settles in from December.

Swim with turtles, hop on a catamaran, ride the scenic railway around St Kitts or plant yourself on a beach and let the day do its thing. Your 2028 Caribbean fly cruise includes return flights, direct with Virgin Atlantic, from London Heathrow or Manchester to Barbados on board the next-generation A330neo aircraft. Everyone on board is heading to the same ship, so the holiday chat starts before take-off. Meals, drinks and hold luggage are included and every seat has its own screen. 

Twilight check-in is available the evening before you fly at both airports. Drop your bags, collect your boarding pass and turn up the next morning with nothing to do but head to departures. When you land, a coach meets the aircraft and takes you straight to Renaissance. Your luggage goes directly to your cabin. 

Fancy more legroom? Upgrade your flight to Economy Delight, Premium Economy or go all the way to Upper Class for a flat bed and first coaches to the ship. 

When do 2028 Caribbean fly cruises depart? 
Our 2028 fly cruises depart from Barbados on 9 and 23 January, 6 and 20 February, 5 March, 19 March (fly out, sail back), 29 October (sail out, fly back), 19 November, 3 December, 17 December and 31 December. Flights available from London Heathrow and Manchester Airport. 

What’s the difference between early and late 2028 sailings? 
The January to March sailings close our 27/28 Caribbean season, right in the heart of the dry season. The November and December sailings open our 28/29 season and include our Christmas and New Year departures. The islands shift a little too, with Aruba joining the December sailings. 

Can I spend Christmas or New Year in the Caribbean in 2028? 
Yes. The 17 December sailing includes Christmas Eve in Bonaire, Christmas Day at sea and Boxing Day in St Kitts. The 31 December sailing flies out on New Year’s Eve, leaves Barbados that evening and sees in 2029 at sea. Festive sailings tend to be popular, so booking early gives you the best choice of cabins. 

Which islands can I visit on a 2028 fly cruise? 
Across the year, our 2028 sailings call at Antigua, Aruba, Barbados, Bonaire, Curaçao, Dominica, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Martinique, St Kitts, St Lucia, St Maarten, Tobago and Tortola. Ports vary by sailing, so check the itinerary of your chosen cruise. 

How long are 2028 Caribbean fly cruises? 
Most of our 2028 fly cruises are 14 nights, round trip from Barbados. We also have two longer voyages with one-way flights: 20 nights from Barbados to Portsmouth in March and 21 nights from London Tilbury to Barbados in October. 

What’s included in a 2028 fly cruise? 
Return flights from Heathrow or Manchester, transfers between the airport and the ship in Barbados, luggage delivered to your cabin, full board dining, entertainment and use of the onboard facilities. Choose the Ambassador Fare to have the Premium Drinks Package included; otherwise, drinks, speciality restaurants, spa treatments, Wi-Fi and Destination Experiences are extra.

What currency is used on board? 
Pounds sterling, so there’s no exchange rate to worry about. Everything is charged to your cashless onboard account, which you can top up at reception or through the app. 

What should I pack?

Do I need a passport or visa?
