Welcome to Dublin, Ireland’s capital city, steeped in history and youthful energy. Medieval, Georgian and modern architecture provide a backdrop to this bustling and cosmopolitan city.
Departing from the harbour town of Dun Laoghaire, an approximately 45-minute journey will bring you to the heart of Dublin where you will enjoy a drive through the city to see some of the main sights.
From here, you will visit the Guinness Storehouse which is located in the heart of the Guinness brewery where you’ll join a self-guided tour of the Storehouse which will be followed by an opportunity to taste the world-famous stout. In the Guinness Storehouse, you will discover what goes into making a pint of the ‘black stuff’ – the ingredients, the processes, and the effort.
The adventure begins the moment you walk through the door and into the building’s giant, pint shaped heart of glass. You will ‘meet’ Arthur Guinness and find out how the drink that carries his name has travelled around the world. You will also have the opportunity to spend some time in the Advertising Gallery at the Storehouse, where you will find a display of all Guinness’s advertising materials past and present. At the end of the visit, you will discover how important it is to pull the perfect pint in the ‘Gravity Sky Bar’ from which there are outstanding views across Dublin, whilst you get to taste your own pint of Guinness.
All too soon it is time to rejoin your coach for the return drive to Dun Laoghaire.
