Cork & Kinsale @ Ease

This experience is ideally suited to those of you wishing to see some of the highlights of County Cork predominantly from the comfort of a coach.

Departing from the port, an approximately 30-minute drive will bring you to Cork, the second-largest city in the Republic of Ireland. Today, Cork is a vibrant city filled with history, culture, and creativity. You will crisscross over the River Lee which winds its way through the city centre. Highlights of the sightseeing drive include the Old Courthouse which was rebuilt after the original building was destroyed in a fire in 1891; the splendid City Hall, which was previously destroyed by the ‘Burning of Cork’ in 1920; the renowned Bells of Shandon and Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral with its famous three gothic spires. 

Leaving the city, you will travel approximately 45 minutes south to the charming and world-acclaimed sailing and fishing town of Kinsale, known as one of the most picturesque resorts on the southwest coast of Ireland. En route, a photo stop will be made at Charles Fort, a bastion fort built in a star shape located on Kinsale’s natural enclosed harbour. Kinsale Town is located at the gateway to the stunning ‘Wild Atlantic Way’ and is famous for its colourful streets, rich history and beautiful landscapes. 

At Kinsale, you will have approximately 1 hour 30 minutes of free time before you re-join your coach for the return journey to Ringaskiddy.
