This experience is ideally suited to those wishing to see some of the highlights of Reykjavík from the comfort of a coach, combined with a visit to the viewing platform of the iconic Perlan (The Pearl) building.

Departing from the port, begin with a drive towards Laugardalur (“Hot Spring Valley”), passing the city’s main sports and recreation area with its outdoor geothermal swimming pool. Continue through different districts of the city and cross the Elliðaá River. Upon reaching the Álftanes Peninsula, a photo stop will be made at Bessastaðir, the residence of the President of Iceland.

Returning through the hustle and bustle of the city centre, your next stop will be at Perlan. Make your way to the viewing platform to enjoy impressive views overlooking Reykjavík.

Your journey continues through the charming old quarter of Reykjavík with its colourful wooden houses and narrow streets. You will drive alongside the city lake, Tjörnin, before passing by the Old Harbour.

Leaving the Old Harbour, the return drive to the port follows the coastline. Your journey takes you past Höfði House, the site of the 1986 summit between U.S. President Ronald Reagan and Soviet Secretary General Mikhail Gorbachev.
