Relaxing in the Blue Lagoon
Reykjavik

by coach & on foot
This experience provides you with the opportunity to indulge in the healing, tranquil waters of the Blue Lagoon (Bláa lónið). One of Iceland’s most popular tourist attractions, the Blue Lagoon was recently named one of the world’s top 25 wonders by National Geographic.
Departing the port, your journey takes you across the rugged lava fields of the Reykjanes Peninsula to reach the Blue Lagoon, a pool of pure, mineral-rich geothermal seawater which owes its existence to the nearby geothermal power plant.
You will stop for a total duration of approximately 2h 30min at the site (including entry and changing time) to indulge in the warm waters, which are approximately 37–39°C (98–102°F) and are reputed for their healing properties. The blue colour of the water, the rising steam, and the 4 m (13 ft) high lava wall surrounding the lagoon create a unique atmosphere.
After bathing, you may wish to browse the gift shop before rejoining your coach for the return drive to Reykjavík.
