Geothermal Helicopter Adventure
Reykjavik

by car, helicopter & on foot
Your experience begins with a short transfer to Reykjavik's domestic airport. Here you will meet your pilot who will give a short briefing as you prepare for your flight.
After boarding the helicopter your journey begins as you fly over geothermal hot springs, colourful mountain ranges, power stations, lava fields and craters. As you fly over one of the most active volcanic areas in Iceland, the Hellisheidi plateau, you'll see moss-covered lava fields stretching to the horizon, interspersed with colourful basalt mountains, steaming hot springs and the very geothermal power plants that supply Reykjavik with its renewable energy.
Landing at the Hengill geothermal area - named after the Hengill volcano - you can experience Iceland's untouched nature up close. Taking you close to hot springs and boiling mud pots, you might even see some sheep wandering around the valley in the summer.
After around 15 minutes on the ground you will re-board your helicopter for the return journey and your flight concludes with a flyover Reykjavik for a unique aerial view of the city.
The tour ends with a short drive from Reykjavik airport to the port.
