The nature surrounding the town of Seyðisfjörður is a hypnotic display of waterfalls, mountains and the ocean. This experience takes you on a hike up part of the Vestdalur Valley, located just a short drive from Seyðisfjörður.

Having been dropped off for the start of your one-way hike, you will follow your guide as they lead you into the valley: a protected nature reserve due to its remarkable flora. During your walk, you will view the abandoned town of Vestdalseyri, where you will see ruins of this former trading and fishing post, deserted in 1963 when the last inhabitant left.

As you continue walking, you will see a series of beautiful waterfalls, providing you with ideal photo opportunities as you experience nature at its best. You should also keep your eyes peeled for some of the wildlife the area is known for, including a variety of nesting birds, along with Icelandic horses and sheep grazing on nearby hills. From time to time, your guide will stop to provide you with information about points of interest along the way.

Concluding your one-way hike, you will rejoin your bus for the short transfer back to Seyðisfjörður
