Departing from the port, your experience will take you on a sightseeing drive through Ålesund before leaving the city behind and heading for the fjords.

Your journey to Mount Stranda will take approximately 90-minutes, including a short ferry crossing from one side of the fjord to the other, during which you will have a chance to stretch your legs and go up on deck to enjoy the views.

Arriving at Mount Stranda, you will board the gondola (cable car), which will whisk you from the lower station, located 400m (1312ft) above sea level, to the summit of the mountain, at 1042m (3418ft). On a clear day, you may even be able to see part of the Jostedal Glacier in the distance. Your time is yours to spend as you wish - admire birds-eye views of Storfjord, or perhaps enjoy a relaxing drink in the Pavilion.

Boarding the gondola once again, return to the base of the mountain, where you will rejoin your coach for the return journey to the pier, once again including a ferry across the fjord.
