This experience combines a city sightseeing drive with a visit to the open-air Sunnmøre Museum, where you can gain an insight into traditional Norwegian coastal life.

Departing from the port, your drive will take you to the outskirts of the city, where the museum is located. The museum has a vast collection of old houses, reconstructed to provide you with an insight into the cultural and architectural history of the Sunnmøre region. Following a short introduction to the museum, you will have some free time to stroll between some of the picturesque houses and learn about how shipbuilding has played an important part in the region’s history.

Following your visit, your journey continues through one of the famous underwater tunnels on a scenic drive to the island of Saga, passing Giske Church before returning to the city centre for a sightseeing drive, where you will see fine examples of Art Nouveau-style architecture and hear from your guide about how the city was redeveloped following a devastating fire in 1904.
