This experience is ideal for guests who would like to get to know Ålesund in a more active way.

Your guide will meet you at the pier and walk you to the start point, where you will be given your bike and cycle helmet. After a short safety briefing, it is time to set off on your exploration of the city centre.

Built across several islands, your journey through Ålesund affords views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Sunnmøre Alps. As you cycle through the charming streets, your guide will tell you stories of how the town was rebuilt in the early 1900’s following a devastating fire and point out some of the most striking examples of Art Nouveau architecture.

Your journey through the colourful streets brings you all the way up to the viewpoint at Mount Aksla, where you can admire views across the city, before returning to the pier and your awaiting ship.
