Imagine a sea eagle with a wingspan of almost 2½ metres flying towards you before plunging in to the sea just a short distance away. This experience combines an exhilarating RIB ride with a chance to encounter the largest bird of prey in Northern Europe.

More than 35% of Norway’s sea eagle population are found in the Nordland region, and a high number of these magnificent birds are found around Bodø.

Begin your adventure with a short drive to Bodø marina, where you will get dressed in a thermal floatation suit and receive a short safety briefing. Embark on an exciting ride into the Bodø archipelago. Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for white-tailed sea eagles either perched on the rocks or soaring overhead. Your local skipper is familiar with the nests and perches in the area, so, whilst never guaranteed, there is a great chance of a magical encounter with this majestic bird.

As well as admiring some of Bodø’s fantastic nature and scenery, you will also learn something of the area’s history before returning to the pier.
