Geiranger, cruise Geirangerfjord

This experience combines the impressive scenery of the Geirangerfjord with a music recital in Geiranger Church.

Departing from the pier, you will travel along the Eagle’s Road, navigating eleven-hairpin bends for a photo stop at Eagle’s Bend. Here you can enjoy wonderful views to Geiranger, nestled amongst tall mountains at the head of the fjord, and in the other direction, back down the impressive Geirangerfjord.

From here, wind your way back down the mountain, passing the pier before beginning the ascent up another steep, winding road to reach Flydalsjuvet. The view from here is iconic and the one most often used to depict Geiranger on postcards and in publications.

Descending back towards the village, you will stop at the 19th century octagonal wooden church. Once inside, take a pew to enjoy an approximately 30-minute performance of local folk music and pieces by the famous Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, presented by local musicians.

Finally, re-join your coach for the short downhill drive to the pier.
