Geirangerfjord is one of nature’s masterpieces, and one of the best ways to experience the scale of it is by kayak.

Meet your guide at the tender pier and join them on a short walk to the kayak base. Here, you will receive a short safety briefing and instructions on basic techniques before it is time to take to the water.

As you paddle through the waters of one of the UNESCO World Heritage Fjords, you’ll appreciate the sheer enormity of “the world’s most beautiful fjord”. The steep mountain walls, as high as 1,500m (4,920ft), have farms perched on rocky ledges, and folklore tells tales of children and animals that had to be tethered to prevent them from falling over the steep cliffs.

As you glide along, admire the magnificent Seven Sisters Waterfalls, and listen to tales about the history of Geiranger and its people.

All too soon it will be time to return to base, with wonderful memories of your close encounter with Mother Nature.
