This experience is ideally suited to those wishing to see some of the highlights of Hammerfest and its surroundings, predominantly from the comfort of a coach.

This leisurely experience will take you through the Finnmark countryside to the quaint village of Skaidi, nestled along the salmon-rich Repparfjordelv River. The name Skaidi translates to ‘the land where the rivers converge’.

Located 50km (31miles) from Hammerfest, your journey will be filled with tales of diverse cultures, regional history and contemporary life in the Arctic. Enjoy views of stark Arctic nature and breathtaking fjord scenery. There’s the potential to spot reindeer herds and perhaps even seals as you drive along the coastal roads.

Pause in Skaidi to enjoy traditional Norwegian waffles and tea or coffee. Before making your way back to Hammerfest, take a detour to Kvalsund, where you can marvel at two rocks adorned with neolithic carvings, remnants of the first settlers in the region.
