The seaside resort city of Kristiansand is the fifth largest city in Norway, with a population of approximately 85,000 inhabitants and is known for its sunny sandy beaches, clear waters, and charming wooden houses.

Your first stop will be at southern Norway’s largest open-air museum, Kristiansand Museum. Over 30 antiquated buildings have been placed here, some dating back to 1580. From the museum, you will drive through the suburbs and back into the city centre.

Back in Kristiansand, you will stop in Posebyen, the historical old part of town. From here you will start your city walk, stopping at the Kristiansand Domkirke cathedral for a visit. Your walk will then take you through Torvet, the fruit and vegetable market, where you will find local farmers selling everything from flowers and plants to homemade jams and honey. You’ll continue down the shopping street until you arrive at the beach and the Christiansholm Fortress, with its amazing views over the marina and the ocean.

As a final highlight, you will walk past Kilden, the new concert house which is an amazing example of modern architecture, design and technology. After this, you will arrive back at the pier and your ship.
