Preikestolen, or ‘Pulpit Rock’ is perhaps one of the best-known landmarks in the Norwegian Fjords. Almost 300,000 hikers visit the rock formation each year.

Departing from the pier, a coach will transfer you to Preikestol, and the starting point of your hike. The hike ahead will take you on an uneven path through mountainous terrain, dotted with small lakes. Your destination is the famous ‘Pulpit Rock’, an almost flat plateau 604m (1,981ft) above the Lysefjord deep down below.

From here, you will enjoy a spectacular view of the mountains, the fjord and waterfalls. The return hike follows the same route back to Preikestol Chalet where you will reboard your coach for the transfer back to Stavanger. Time permitting, you may be provided with a short sightseeing drive through the city.
