The Lysefjord is the southernmost of the biggest fjords in Norway, and is home to two of Norway’s best known geological features – Pulpit Rock and the Kjerag Boulder. This experience offers the opportunity to appreciate the scale of the fjord from the water.

Set sail from the pier in Stavanger in the direction of the Lysefjord, which cuts almost 50km deep into the country, and is surrounded by steep mountainsides, polished by glaciers and waterfalls. In some places, the fjord is as deep as the mountains are high!

Along the way, you will see a number of geological features – Helleren, on the south side of the fjord is an overhanging cliff which once gave shelter to the people that hunted and fished in the area; and on the northern side is the famous Pulpit Rock, or Preikestolen, more than 1,800ft above sea level.

Step ashore for a warm drink and tasty Norwegian waffle surrounded by the stunning fjordland scenery, before returning to Stavanger and your awaiting ship.
