Embark on a journey back in time to the world of the legendary Vikings. Explore the stunning twin city of Aalborg, founded by the seafaring warriors over a thousand years ago and now a modern hub on the banks of the Limfjord Sound.

Departing from the port by coach you will drive through the historic and idyllic countryside to reach your first stop, a recreation of a Viking farmstead depicting everyday life for Viking farmers. The farm is a reconstruction of an actual farm found near Jelling — the hometown of Harald Bluetooth. Here you will also receive a small tasting of Mead, one of the oldest known alcoholic drinks.

You will then make the short journey to one of the oldest so-called Ring Fortresses built in Denmark around the year 980 AD where you will spend around 30 minutes.

Your journey continues across the bridge to Limfjorden and the ancient Viking site of Lindholm Høje, a breathtaking ancient burial site and settlement from the Viking era. Follow your guide to the 700 stone-lined graves, and feel the power of the past come to life before your eyes.

Afterwards you will be given time to explore the onsite museum, which contains a fascinating exhibition about the settlement on the area. Here you can take your chance to pick up a Viking souvenir.

Following this you will rejoin your coach for the return journey back to the port.
