This experience is ideally suited to those of you wishing to see some of the highlights of Bornholm, predominantly from the comfort of a coach.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the views as your journey takes you through scenic landscapes dotted with picturesque villages. At the northern tip of the island, you will have a short photo stop where you can marvel at the Hammershus Castle Ruin looming in the distance.
Continue with a drive along the island’s east coast, through the villages of Sandvig, Allinge and Tejn to your next stop, the pretty fishing village of Gudhjem. Here you will enjoy some free time to explore the harbour area, browse the local shops or perhaps purchase some refreshments.
Before returning to the port, a final stop will be made for an optional visit to Østerlars Round Church, the most famous of Bornholm’s round churches. Estimated to date from 1150, the church was used both as a place of worship and for protection against enemies from the sea. The roof was added much later after the church had lost its importance as a defensive structure.
