Windmills are slowly vanishing from the Dutch landscape, but this experience will take you to the largest collection in the Netherlands at Kinderdijk. One of the Dutch sites on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, this area consists of two canals, nineteen traditional windmills dating back to 1740 and a pumping station.

Upon arrival at the windmills, you will watch a short introductory film as you learn the story of Kinderdijk.

Following this your guide will take you to explore the interior of these fascinating buildings while you enjoy free time walking around to see how they operate. If you're lucky, some of the mills may have their sails spinning – a truly majestic sight.

You will then rejoin your coach for the return journey back to the ship.
