Malbork Castle

Malbork Castle is the most complete and elaborate example of a Gothic brick castle complex in the characteristic and unique style of the Teutonic Order. Much of the original structure survives, testifying to the high standards and outstanding quality of workmanship practiced in the region throughout the 14th century.

Departing from the port by coach, an approximately one-hour journey will bring you to Malbork Castle.

Listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997, Malbork Castle is known as the largest castle in the world measured by land area. Teutonic Knights created this massive stone fortress that includes formidable defensive walls, towers, a labyrinth of chambers, dungeons and outstanding architectural details.

Upon arrival, your guide will lead you on an extensive walk around the castle and its grounds as you take in the amazing history. You will spend some time in the grand exhibition halls which display collections of armoury, ceramics, sculptures and spectacular Baltic amber.

You will spend approximately 2h30min exploring with your guide. Following this, should time permit, there will be some free time to explore further at leisure, or visit the Castle’s shop to purchase a souvenir of your visit.

You will then meet at your designated point before boarding your coach for the return journey back to the port of Gdańsk.
