Stutthof Concentration Camp Museum

Stutthof was the first concentration camp created outside of Germany with prisoners first arriving here on the 2nd September 1939. There were approximately 127,000 prisoners registered upon their arrival to the camp however the real number is thought to be much higher. It was also the last camp liberated by the Allies, on 9 May 1945.

Departing from the port by coach you will make the approximately 1 hour 30 minute journey to the Stutthof Concentration Camp Museum.

In 1962 the remains of the Nazi concentration camp were turned into a museum for the public to visit. The museum strives to protect the heritage of the camp and preserves, researches and displays archival records and historical artefacts. Exhibitions and videos offer visitors a haunting insight into the lives of the people that were imprisoned here during the Second World War.

Your guide will take you around as you explore the prisoner barracks, the gas chambers as you learn about its terrible history. You will then visit the Museum Cinema to watch a film explaining more about the history of the camp.

Following this moving experience, you will rejoin your coach for the return journey to the ship.
