During this experience you will be able to see the picturesque region of southern Skåne, with an introduction to its three main towns and cities: Ystad, Lund and Malmö.

You begin with an approximately one-hour drive to Ystad, a harbour town in the south of Scania, with charming medieval, pastel-coloured half-timbered houses and cottages. Full of cobblestone streets, sun-dappled squares and kilometres of sandy beach surrounded by gorgeous rolling Scania countryside. The town really is as attractive as portrayed in the tv drama series Wallander, that made this town famous around the world. Ystad is best explored on foot, so your guide will lead you on a walk to explore the town’s main highlights.

Rejoining your coach, an approximately one-hour drive will bring you to the university city of Lund, during which you will have a chance to see the beautiful agricultural landscape of Skåne. Lund is not only famous for having the largest university in Scandinavia, but also for its stunning cathedral. Situated in the heart of the city, the cathedral was inaugurated in 1145 and is Scandinavia's foremost example of Romanesque architecture. During a visit inside the cathedral you will be able to admire the 14th century astronomical clock. After exploring the city you will continue to Malmö where you be given some free time to enjoy some lunch and browse the many stores.

Afterwards you will commence a sightseeing drive with some photo stops such as Malmöhus Castle, and Malmö’s iconic 190m (623ft) high apartment building ‘Turning Torso’ twisting towards the sky. You will also pass by several of the main sights in Malmö: Gustav Adolfs Square, The Queens Square, the impressive Post Office building.

A further stop will be made in Limhamn where you will have an opportunity to take photos of the Öresund Bridge - a 16km (10 mile) direct link between Sweden and Denmark.

Once you have become a bit more acquainted with the city you will head for Malmö Old Town where your guide will take you for a stroll along the Stortorget (Great Square) lined with many impressive buildings dating from the 16th century. Here you will find such buildings as the Townhall, the county Governor’s mansion, the 16th century Jörgen Kocks House as well as Malmö’s oldest pharmacy founded in 1571.

You will continue your walk to the nearby Lilla Torg (Small Square) – a picturesque square with lots of small restaurants and pubs.

From here, you will rejoin your coach and make the short return drive to the port.
