Cuban Overnight Adventure – Trinidad & Cienfuegos - Single Occupancy

This Cuban Overnight Adventure departs from Havana on Monday 27 January at 0800h and returns to Havana on Tuesday 28 January at approximately 1800h.

This overnight experience provides you with the opportunity to travel further afield to explore more of what Cuba has to offer, with a visit to the historic towns of Trinidad and Cienfuegos.

Day 1 – Monday, 27 January 2025

Departing Havana by coach, an approximately 4h30min journey (including comfort stop) will take you through the heart of Cuba to the enchanting town of Trinidad. Upon arrival, you will first visit a renowned family-run pottery workshop to gain a fascinating insight into this Cuban tradition. A three-course lunch with a beer or soft drink will be served at a local restaurant before continuing to Torre Manaca-Iznaga, a 45m (147ft) bell tower located on an old sugar plantation, from where you will enjoy great views of the Cuban countryside.

You will then continue to the heart of Trinidad’s colonial district for a visit to Museo Romantico, home to elegant, period furnishings from Cuba’s aristocratic past. A short walk from here, you will visit a local community project to observe traditional Cuban arts and crafts. Continuing on foot, your next stop will be at La Canchanchara, a lively tavern where you will enjoy a cocktail before rejoining your coach for the short transfer to your hotel.

Having checked in, you will meet in the lobby and take a short walk to a local restaurant for a three-course dinner accompanied with a soft drink. Following this, you will continue to the popular Casa de la Musica, an outdoor music venue that comes alive at night with people dancing to live music. Drinks can be purchased here at your own expense. All too soon, it will be time to return to the hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 2 – Tuesday, 28 January 2025

Following a buffet-style breakfast and check out formalities, rejoin your coach for an 0800h departure and bid farewell to Trinidad as you journey to Cienfuegos.

Your first stop in this charming coastal city will be for a guided visit to the Botanical Gardens, introducing you to rare and exotic species of plants. Your next stop will be a tobacco factory, where skilled artisans craft some of Cuba’s finest cigars. Here, you will learn about the intricate process of cigar making and the cultural significance of tobacco in Cuban history.

Following your tour, a short transfer will bring you to Parque Jose Marti, Cienfuegos’ central square, where you will take a stroll to admire the neoclassical architecture of the surrounding buildings. You will then continue to the Teatro Tomas Terry for a visit. Admire the opulent interior and learn about the rich history of this magnificent 19th century theatre.

A three-course lunch, including a glass of wine, beer or a soft drink, will be served at the Club de Yates, the beautiful yacht club with picturesque views of the bay. Fully refreshed, you will continue with a drive through Cienfuegos with its wide boulevards and pastel-coloured buildings, before settling in for the return transfer across the country to Havana, arriving back to the port at approximately 1800h.

• Guests are required to carry their passports
• The departure and return times of this experience means it will not be possible to join any destination experiences on Day 1 of the call to Havana, or the daytime experiences on Day 2. Guests may book Havana experiences on Day 3. Guests may wish to book a Havana evening experience on Day 2, but should there be any delay in the return of the overnight tour, guests may not have much time to get ready for the evening tour
