As you enter the Green Grotto Caves, you will be captivated by the intricate limestone formations, subterranean lakes and rich tapestry of stalactites and stalagmites that have formed over the centuries. The caves, spanning over 1,525m (1,667 yards), are steeped in history, having served as a hideout for runaway slaves, smugglers and pirates!
Follow your guide as they lead you through the winding passageways, sharing stories of the cave’s past and pointing out geological features, including the shimmering underground Grotto Lake. You may also encounter colonies of bats and other cave-dwelling creatures, adding to the sense of wonder.
Following your underground exploration, you may wish to purchase a souvenir of your visit in the gift shop before rejoining your bus for the transfer back to Falmouth.
