Cozumel is an island off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, southeastern Mexico. This experience takes you across to the Mexican mainland to explore the natural beauty of some of the peninsula’s famous cenote sinkholes.

Following a hearty breakfast on board, your day begins with a short walk to the embarkation point of the chartered ferry that will take you across to Playa del Carmen. Guests from multiple destination experiences will be sharing the same ferry, so once everyone has embarked, the ferry will set sail for the approximately 45-minute crossing.

Once ashore in Playa del Carmen, embark your coach and take in the passing scenery as you journey approximately 45-minutes to the Xel-Ha natural water park. Your all-inclusive ticket for this aquatic theme park will allow you to enjoy activities such as river tubing, cycling, snorkelling and zip-lining.

Xel-Ha is a beautiful aquatic park located in a large, protected cove. Centuries ago, the Maya created a trading centre, pilgrimage site and shelter for sailors here. In the Mayan language, Xel-Ha means ‘where the water is born’. During your visit to this natural wonderland, you will have approximately four-hours to participate in whichever activities interest you the most. You might ease into an inner tube and float down the Xel-Ha River. Along the way, you can pause on the riverside platforms and, if you are feeling adventurous, you can climb the ‘Cliff of Courage’ and then jump off into the river. Riding the zip-line and splashing down into the water is another exhilarating, adrenaline pumping activity.

There are also plenty of less physically demanding activities such as meandering along the jungle trail, enjoying the serenity of ChaCah’s Garden, and snorkelling through the cove with the chance of spotting marine life such as angelfish, snapper, turtles and even manatees. It is up to you how physically active you wish to be during your visit. An international buffet lunch at the Xel-Ha’s restaurant is included in the price. You may wish to purchase a souvenir of your visit in the gift shop.

Following this, rejoin your coach for the return drive to Playa del Carmen. Here, you will have approximately one-hour of free time. Then, at the designated meeting time, you will embark the chartered ferry along with guests from other destination experiences, then once all are present, set sail for the approximately 45-minute crossing back to Cozumel.
