Playa del Carmen On Your Own

As Ambience will be in Cozumel for two days, this experience has been included to provide you with the opportunity to spend time on the mainland on one of the days, without having to negotiate public ferry services.

Cozumel is an island off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, southeastern Mexico. This experience takes you across to the Mexican mainland to explore the popular resort Playa del Carmen.

Your day begins with a short walk to the embarkation point of the chartered ferry that will take you across to Playa del Carmen. Guests from multiple destination experiences will be sharing the same ferry, so once everyone has embarked, the ferry will set sail for the approximately 45-minute crossing.

Once ashore in Playa del Carmen, you will have approximately seven hours of free time to do with as you wish. Parallel to the waterfront is the world-famous Fifth Avenue, a nearly 4km (2.5mile) pedestrian walkway flanked by international restaurants, brand name stores, high-end boutiques as well as local artisans and vendors. You may also choose to head to the beach for some rest and relaxation.

At the designated meeting time, you will embark the chartered ferry along with guests from other destination experiences, then once all are present, set sail for the approximately 45-minute crossing back to Cozumel.
