This experience immerses you in the vibrant tapestry of Mexican culture so you can learn more about Mayan traditions.

Departing from the pier, enjoy the passing scenery as your journey takes you along the island’s west coast to your first stop, a visit to the Mayan Cacao Company. Here, you will learn about the cacao bean and how it is made into chocolate, and of course, you will have the opportunity to taste the finished product. You will also visit a Mayan house for an insight into how Mayan people used to live and learn about their customs and traditions. You may wish to browse the gift shop to purchase a souvenir of your visit.

Rejoining your coach, you will make your way back up the west coast to your next stop at Barriecito. At this multi-purpose venue, you will witness a pre-Hispanic dance performance, offering an insight into Mayan civilization.

Following this, you will rejoin your coach for the short transfer back to the port.
