Departing the port by coach, relax and enjoy the passing scenery as you make your way to Villegouge for a visit to Château Boutinet, an 18th-century wine Château estate that has been brought back to life.

Upon your arrival, you will be met by Nathalie and/or her husband Jérôme, the owners of the Château. They will lead you on an approximately 90-minute, relaxed stroll around the property to see the grape vines and enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards whilst sharing their passion and knowledge of the industry with you. You may want to take the chance to taste a grape directly from the vine, should this be offered.

As Nathalie shares with you her experiences as a winemaker and owner of a Wine Château, Jérôme will prepare some delicious French appetisers made with local products that pair perfectly with their wines.

You will then have the opportunity to taste a variety of three of the Château Boutinet Wines in the tasting room, or outside if the weather permits, along with the appetisers.

Following your tasting session you will have some time to browse the wine shop where you’ll be able to purchase some bottles of what you’ve tasted, before rejoining your coach for the approximately one hour return journey to the port.
