Departing by coach, an approximately 75-minute journey will bring you to the watermill, located in a beautiful setting in the valley of the Isle River, close to the town of Libourne.

The stone water mill was built in the mid-1800s on the banks of the Isle River, a tributary of the Dordogne. In the 1930s, the old mill was transformed into a more modern cylinder mill. You will enjoy a guided visit to discover the ingenuity of the system where grains of wheat travel to be sorted, washed, brushed, crushed, sifted, and finally transformed into flour.

Following this, it is time to roll up your sleeves during a bread making workshop where you will have the opportunity to make your own small baguette. Whilst it bakes, enjoy some free time, during which you may wish to browse the small shop and purchase a souvenir of your experience

Having collected your creation, you will rejoin your coach for the return journey to Bordeaux. Will you save your baguette for later? Or will you enjoy it whilst it is still warm? The choice is yours.
