Departing from the port by coach, your journey will take you along the famous Quai des Chartrons, the cradle of the Bordeaux wine trade. You will continue to the Margaux vineyards located in the southernmost part of the Médoc wine region, and the starting point of the famous ‘Route des Châteaux’.

The Medoc Wine Road, located between the Gironde estuary and the Landes Forest, provides magnificent views of vine-covered gravelly rises as far as the eye can see.

Along the way, a photo stop will be made at the celebrated Château Margaux, before continuing to a Classified Wine Estate, where you will learn all about the wine making techniques and enjoy a tasting of two different wines from the estate.

Before rejoining your coach for the return journey to Bordeaux, you may wish to browse the estate’s shop and perhaps purchase a bottle to take with you to enjoy once you get home.
