This experience provides you with the opportunity to visit the iconic Mont-Saint-Michel, the most visited landmark in France outside of Paris.

Departing from Saint-Malo by coach, you will make the approximately one-hour drive to Mont-Saint-Michel. Upon arrival at the coach park, you will transfer to a shuttle bus to take you across to the mount.

Your guide will lead you on the steep walk up to the abbey perched on top of the mount. Have your camera ready for the most breathtaking views of an island abbey that seems to rise like a mirage out of the sea. The island was left isolated from the coast by a tidal wave which created a visual phenomenon that can be seen today at high tide: an abbey that seems to float on water.

You will then be taken on a guided visit lasting approximately 1h15min where you will learn about its history. During the Middle Ages, the abbey was an important pilgrimage site for those honouring the Archangel Michael. Learn about the construction of the abbey from the 11th through the 16th centuries as you stroll through this wonder of France, and admire the beautiful colonnaded cloister constructed out of local stone.

After your visit to the abbey, you will enjoy approximately 1h45min of free time to walk around the village at your leisure before meeting back at the designated point for the shuttle back to your coach then returning to Saint-Malo.
