Having been transported ashore by tender, your journey will begin as you depart from the port of Kotor on a scenic drive along one of Europe’s most breathtaking bays, framed by dramatic mountains and tranquil waters as you head towards the idyllic UNESCO-protected baroque village of Perast. Once a wealthy seafaring town, Perast is dotted with elegant palaces, stone churches and stories from the Venetian era.

You will enjoy a guided walk through its peaceful streets before embarking on a short boat ride across the bay to the legendary islet of Our Lady of the Rocks. This unique man-made island was built over centuries by local sailors and holds deep spiritual and historical significance. You will visit the ornate 17th-century church and its small but fascinating museum which is home to centuries-old artifacts, silver votives, and local embroidery; including a famous tapestry embroidered with strands of human hair.

Your journey will continue as you return to Perast by boat and enjoy a short drive back to Kotor. As you arrive to Kotor you will be taken on a guided walk through the walled Old Town. You can admire the blend of Romanesque, Gothic, and Venetian architecture as you stroll past landmarks such as the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon and the Sea Gate.

At the conclusion of the experience, if time permits you may choose to return to the tender embarkation point with your guide or stay in town to enjoy Kotor at your own pace and stroll back to the tender point once you are ready.
