Cap Spartel, Kashbah Museum & Medina
Tangier

by coach & on foot
Tangier is renowned for its distinctive architecture, characterised by whitewashed buildings adorned with vibrant accents such as blue doors and window frames. This striking aesthetic reflects a rich blend of cultural influences, including Moroccan, Spanish, and French heritage, giving the city its unique charm and reputation as a captivating cultural destination.
Departing from the pier, your journey begins with a scenic drive along the city’s sandy coastline and through the main avenues of the modern town. You will pause for a photo stop at Cap Spartel, the northwesternmost point of mainland Africa. On a clear day, you can enjoy sweeping views across the Strait of Gibraltar to the Rock of Gibraltar and the coast of Spain.
You will then take a short drive to a local hotel for light refreshments before returning to Tangier to explore on foot. Wander through the ancient streets of the Kasbah district and enjoy a guided visit to the Kasbah Museum, located within the impressive former Sultan’s palace, Dar El Makhzen. The museum traces the region’s history from prehistoric times to the 19th century and stands as one of Morocco’s most distinctive attractions, combining elegant royal architecture with fascinating art and historical exhibits.
Following your visit, continue to the lively Grand Socco, where you can experience the colourful fruit and vegetable market. To conclude your experience, enjoy a stroll through the medina—a maze of narrow streets lined with textile merchants—offering excellent photo opportunities before rejoining your coach for the short transfer back to the pier.
