4x4 Adventure

You will join your 4x4 at the tender landing stage and then leave the port and head to the southwest of the island, making your first stop at Flores Viewpoint. Here you will get scenic views to the east and enjoy the beautiful landscapes. If the weather is clear, it might even be possible to see Madeira Island.

Heading west, your next stop will be at the Morenos Viewpoint, where you will find unique eroded volcanic formations and sand valleys. Your journey continues to Pico da Ana Ferreira, to view a very rare formation of almost perfect rock columns which appear to be deliberately stacked.

Following this, you will travel through Campo de Baixo, Campo de Cima and will make a stop at Quinta das Palmeiras, where you will have some free time to observe the exotic birds and botanical garden, whilst also having the opportunity to purchase some refreshments if you wish.

Next, your journey takes you north, you will drive by Fonte da Areia (Mini Desert), Serra de Dentro and visit Casa da Serra where you can enjoy a Porto Santo wine and taste some typical cookies. Here you will also find a Museum House recreated to show how islanders used to live. Here you will have the opportunity to purchase a wide variety of homemade products to take home as a souvenir.

As you return to the tender landing stage, you will make a stop at the Portela Viewpoint, with its scenic views to the west and of the old traditional island windmills.
