This experience is the perfect combination, exploring Cantabria on both land and sea.

Your journey will begin by coach with a drive to Santoña, a village with a deep seafaring history. Santoña is considered the place where the caravel Santa María was built.

Here you will board a catamaran which will take you on a cruise along the coast, admiring sights such as the impressive cliffs, the fortress, the Horse Lighthouse and the natural park of the Marismas, an important set of wetlands on the Cantabrian coast. As you pass these sights on the way to the town of Laredo, you will be able to taste a local savoury delicacy, ‘Sobaos’ which will be accompanied by a sweet wine.

You will arrive to Laredo which was once a royal port for the union with Europe but now is one of the main tourist towns on the Spanish coast. Here you can enjoy some free time to explore at leisure or you have the option to join your guide on a guided walk.

Rejoining your coach, your journey continues to Castro Urdiales, a town filled with characteristic houses with rows of balconies which are medieval in origin and have earned this town recognition as a historic site in 1978. Your guide will lead you on an informative walk that will take you through the narrow streets and give you the chance to admire the varying styles and periods of monuments that can be found in this charming old fishing village. After a short period of free time, you will board the coach to return to your ship.
