This experience is ideal for those who wish to explore Bilbao independently but do not wish to negotiate public transport links between the town of Santander and the city of Bilbao.

Departing from the pier, an approximately 1h15min drive will transfer you to Bilbao. The allocated drop off/pick-up location for coaches is at the unique and imposing Guggenheim Museum – Bilbao’s masterpiece.

You will have around 3 hours of free time to explore at leisure. Bilbao’s Old Quarter is a must-see to admire the 14th century cathedral, Arriaga Theatre, Plaza Nueva or the lively Ribera Market. Should you feel hungry, there are plenty of local bars where you might choose to sample ‘pintxos’, the Basque Country’s term for tapas.

At the time and place specified by the local escort, you will rejoin your bus for the return transfer to Santander.
