This experience will introduce you to the sights of Santander as you are taken on a scenic drive through the winding streets of the city.

You will pass the Pereda Gardens and the popular Puertochico area with its marina, before heading towards the bay of Santander and the stunning Magdalena Peninsula. This beautiful parkland covers around 69 acres and is crowned by the Palacio de la Magdalena which was formerly the summer residence of King Alfonso XIII. Boasting fabulous views and beautiful surrounding gardens, the Palacio de la Magdalena is designated as a cultural heritage site. After a short walk from your coach you will board a trolley train and enjoy scenic views of the Palacio de la Magdalena. Here you will enjoy some free time to explore the exterior of the Palace and capture some photographic memories of your trip.

A further stop will be made at a vantage point from where you can enjoy views over the beaches of El Camello and El Sardinero.

The experience will then continue on to the exclusive Hotel El Sardinero for a well-earned break. While enjoying views of the Bay of Biscay you will be provided with refreshments of tea, coffee and local sweet treats.

Fully refreshed, your journey continues as you are driven past the residential areas near to the El Sardinero Beach, the ‘Gran Casino’ Santander Bank Headquarters building, Porticada Square, the Town Hall and the Cathedral of the Assumption before returning to the ship.
