Valencia and Albufera Natural Park

You will depart from the port of Valencia by coach, beginning a guided sightseeing experience of the city. Crossing the river, you will travel along Gran Via and Calle Jativa, where you can admire the iconic Bullring and the Central Train Station from the exterior.

Next, you’ll head to the vibrant city centre, where you’ll leave the coach and continue on foot to view the beautiful building that contains the Central Market, a stunning example of Art Nouveau architecture. Nearby, you’ll see La Lonja, the historic Silk Exchange, a magnificent Gothic structure now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Your experience continues along Calle Entrench and leads to Plaza Redonda (Round Square), known for its charming traditional shops and ends at Santa Catalina Church, featuring the Miguelete Tower — a Gothic bell tower dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel and the cathedral, where you’ll have time to capture stunning photographs from the outside.

Your next destination is the El Carmen district, a lively area steeped in history. Here, you’ll see La Beneficencia Cultural Centre, the Valencian Institute of Modern Art, and the imposing Serranos Towers, an impressive 14th century military structure declared a national historical and artistic monument.

Finally, you’ll travel to La Albufera, a national park located just south of Valencia. This unique natural reserve is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, and is renowned for its marshland ecosystem. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride through the area’s serene waters, where you’ll also see a traditional barraca farmer’s house with its steeply sloped roof.

After the boat ride, you will visit a local restaurant to indulge in a delicious, authentic Valencian lunch. Savour the flavours of the region, including the famous paella, before returning to the ship by coach.
