Carthage & Sidi Bou Said

After departing from the pier, you’ll head to the Carthage Roman Ruins for a guided sightseeing experience. There are many highlights which include the Tophet, an ancient sacred area; the Antonine Baths built between 145 to 165 AD. You will also visit Byrsa Hill with its sprawling maze of ancient streets and alleyways.

Founded by the Phoenicians and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Carthage is an extensive archaeological site located on a hill dominating the Gulf of Tunis.

From here, you’ll re-join your transport,where you’ll will drive for approximately 15 minutes to Sidi Bou Said, one of the beautiful villages in Tunisia and famous for its Moorish architecture and white houses with it’s recognised blue shutters. You will be dropped off in one of the local squares close by, and then take a short, uphill walk which will bring you to the heart of the village which sits proudly at the top of a cliff. Commanding stunning views over the Gulf of Tunis,you will have time to enjoy shopping around in the local craft shops, perhaps relish a mint tea in one of the coffee shops at your own expense, or explore the surrounding area before you rejoin your coach for the return drive to the port.
