Departing from El Ferrol, you can sit back and relax while your guide enlightens you about the history and traditions of the area. After a short drive along the motorway, you will reach the charming village of Pontedeume, located at the foot of Breamo Mountain. Founded in 1270 by King Alfonso X, also known as Alfonso the Wise, Pontedeume is a delightfully peaceful and picturesque community. A short stop will be made for you to enjoy the atmosphere of this lovely medieval fishing village and external views of the 14th-century Tower of Andrade – a monument to the village’s military past.

Your journey continues along the coast, providing you with fabulous views over the Betanzos Estuary. Reaching Bergondo, a stop will be made for refreshments, when you can relax and admire the view over the bay whilst enjoying a sample of traditional Spanish tapas accompanied by a glass of wine.

After you are fully refreshed, your scenic drive continues, passing by Sada, a beautiful typical sailors’ village. Your last stop will be at the cosy port of Santa Cruz, where you will have a few moments to step off the coach and admire the picturesque 16th-century castle, located on a small island in the bay. Following this, you will return to El Ferrol.
