This walking experience is a great way to explore Trieste's main highlights.

You will meet your guide at the pier and they will lead you on a walk through the narrow alleyways of the old town and the wide avenues of the new town, seeking out Trieste's many attractions. Highlights include the town's main square, Piazza dell 'Unita, on the old harbour; the grandiose Neo-classical contours of the Old Exchange; the great curve of the Roman amphitheatre; and the Canal Grande, a waterway that echoes the shape of its Venetian sibling. You will also see religious buildings that would make even the most church-laden Italian town green with envy. These include Serb-Orthodox chapels, Greek-Orthodox sanctuaries, and a Catholic Cathedral.

At the end of the experience, you can decide whether to stay in town or head back to the ship with your guide.
